Private Consultation Services
LeeAnn Bartolini, PhD
End-of-Life Planning and Death Doula Services
LeeAnn brings more than 40 years of experience as a psychologist in private practice. As a certified INELDA (International End-of-Life Doula Association) death doula, she offers compassionate guidance and support for end-of-life planning, as well as bereavement support for loved ones.
You do not need to have a terminal diagnosis to begin planning for the end of your life. I work with individuals and couples of all ages and at every stage of life, helping them thoughtfully consider their wishes and options. If you have received a terminal diagnosis, the planning process is much the same—the primary difference is the timeline.
What I Offer
I offer a compassionate, open-hearted presence and a safe space to explore what matters most to you in your "one wild and precious life."
Services include:
Planning for your possessions (sometimes called death cleaning) to help organize and simplify what you leave behind.
Life Review—reflecting on your life, the people and experiences that have been most meaningful, and how you want to spend the time ahead.
Legacy Work—exploring what you would like to leave behind for those you love or the causes you care about. This may include charitable giving, writing a memoir, organizing photographs, creating a family cookbook, recording stories, or any meaningful project that reflects who you are.
Advance Care Planning—I collaborate with my niece, Nicole Bartolini, whose expertise includes completing Advance Directives and POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment) forms.
Planning for your final days—creating a personalized plan for your death vigil that reflects your values, wishes, and comfort.
After-death planning—discussing your wishes for your body, obituary, funeral, memorial, or celebration of life.
Medical Aid in Dying support—for individuals who choose this option, I work alongside your physician to provide emotional support, planning assistance, and presence for you and your loved ones throughout the process.
Advocacy—supporting you and your loved ones by helping ensure your wishes are understood and honored.
Companionship—offering a calm, reassuring presence. We can talk, sit quietly together, or simply share the space in whatever way feels most comforting.
Bereavement support—providing guidance and support to your loved ones after your death.
What I Do Not Provide
While I offer emotional, practical, and planning support, I do not provide:
Physical assistance with organizing or clearing possessions (I can provide referrals to professional organizers and estate sale services.)
Medical care or medical advice
Hands-on personal care
Medication management
I am happy to connect you with trusted professionals who provide these services.
Fees
My fee for end-of-life planning is $100 per hour.
If you would like me to accompany you during the end-of-life process, we will discuss your specific needs, determine the scope of services, and establish a fee that reflects the level of support required.
A sliding fee scale is available, and I am committed to making these services as accessible as possible.
